Notukela Makohliso

The sparkling people

Owner and Managing Director of Sparkle Always Investments. She is a businesswoman with a disability. She acquired Sparkle Always Laundry in 2021, servicing businesses, government, and residents in and around Cape Town CDB. Sparkle Always supports the Notukela Foundation Institute (NFI). The NFI elevates and empowers youth, women, and persons with disabilities.

She was awarded the Amavulindlela Funding Scheme in 2022 by the Small Business Development Department. She is a recipient of the Youth Economic Initiative Award in 2023.



Notukela holds a BA Degree from Stellenbosch University. She is a designated Public Service Fellow from the Future Elect, Southern Africa. She holds a postgraduate certificate in Advanced Human Rights on Disability Rights in an African Context from the University of Pretoria and is an accredited Assessor and Moderator through the Cape Peninsula University of Technology.

Notukela is an avid social justice advocate who is enthusiastic about socio-economic inclusion, equality, and diversity. She firmly believes that ethical and moral leaders are what South Africa needs for a better future.
